Along with editors, Kim regularly works with business owners and other professionals from a wide spectrum of organizations and companies to assist them with their written materials.
After the birth of her first daughter in 1998, she began to write extensively about parenting, health & wellness, and family life. As motherhood became a major focus of her life, she was able to expertly blend her personal and professional experiences through her business.
Following the birth of her second daughter in 2002, she began to serve as associate editor of Coulee Parenting Connection (CPC) magazine in La Crosse, Wis., bringing even more personal experiences to her work.
In 2010, Parenting Publications of America recognized CPC for excellence with awards in overall reporting and overall writing. Kim won a writing award for her personal essay, “Adopting Four-Legged Family.” The judges for PPA noted: “This service-oriented essay skillfully weaves the personal with the practical by detailing the joys and woes of pet adoption and pet stewardship."
More recently in spring 2011, CPC won a Gold Award for Overall Reporting from the PPA for the fourth consecutive year.
Kim’s family and faith are at the heart of her work and life. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 18 years. When she is not writing, she and her family enjoy attending community and school events and spending time outdoors, hiking and biking in the beautiful Mississippi River region.
Kim and her family are involved with the La Crosse Area YMCA, Coulee Region Humane Society, St. Patrick’s Church, and Aquinas Catholic Schools. Kim is a lifelong Catholic, continually discovering the deep richness of her faith as a journey.
